HOW TO: Tie a Horizontal Double Connection Knot

The Horizontal Double Connection Knot is the same knot as the Double Connection Knot but tied horizontally.  The horizontal nature of this knot, opens up the two cords and allows for more creativity in your designs.   On its own, it is a very easy knot to tie but the challenge in this knot is putting or tying it in the correct spot.  

Hints

When tying this knot, tighten the second knot first (in the spot that you want it) and then tighten the first knot around it.  Again, work slowly so that the X maintains its shape while tightening.  If you make a mistake, it is often easier to undo the entire knot and start again, then trying to fix the mistake.
